Overview

The Withdrawal window section controls how long a customer has to cancel their order. The defaults follow EU law, so most stores never need to change these.

Options

The length of the cooling-off period — how many days after delivery a customer can still withdraw. The default is 14 days, which is the EU legal minimum. You can set any value between 7 and 60 days.
EU law requires a minimum of 14 days. Lowering this below 14 may put your store out of compliance. Increasing it (offering a longer window) is always allowed.
A fallback used only when Shopify doesn’t have an exact delivery date for an order. The app adds this number of days to the ship date to estimate when delivery happened, then counts the withdrawal period from there. The default is 5 days, and you can set 1 to 60 days.

How the window is calculated

The cooling-off period is always measured from delivery, not from the order date:
1

If Shopify knows the delivery date

The withdrawal period is counted from that exact delivery date.
2

If the delivery date is unknown

The app estimates delivery as the ship date + your estimated delivery days, then counts the withdrawal period from that estimate.
If a customer tries to withdraw after the window has closed, they’re told the period has ended and can’t complete the request.
Set the estimated delivery to roughly match how long shipping usually takes for your store. A realistic estimate keeps the calculated window fair for orders without a delivery date.
